What is TeamTalk?

TeamTalk is a real-time voice and text chat system with channels, private messages and file transfer. It is widely used by blind communities because its clients work well with screen readers. Each server is yours: you decide who joins and how the channels are organized.

Which apps do I connect with?

The official TeamTalk 5 clients for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. The welcome email gives you the address, port and administrator account to connect with.

How long until my server is ready?

It is created automatically as soon as PayPal confirms the payment, usually within a minute or two. You get an email with the connection details.

How many people can connect at once?

Up to 50 users connected at the same time on any of the server plans.

What is the difference between the plans?

Lite is the server with no file storage and no bot. Basic adds 5 GB to share files in the channels. Pro adds 10 GB and a music bot. Pro + Radio also gives you your own internet radio station.

What is the music bot?

A bot that joins your channel and plays music from YouTube and other services. From “My account” you can move it to another channel or send it to a different TeamTalk server.

How does internet radio work?

You get a station with AutoDJ, live broadcasting and a panel where you upload your music and build playlists. Radio Lite offers 64 kbps, up to 50 listeners and 2 GB of music; the Pro + Radio one offers 128 kbps, up to 50 listeners and 5 GB.

How do I pay?

With a monthly PayPal subscription.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, from “My account” or from your PayPal account. The service keeps running until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I change plans?

Yes, you can switch to another plan from “My account”.

How do I sign in to “My account”?

With your email: we send you a sign-in link, so there is no password to remember.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

The service stays active 3 more days; then it is suspended and, after 7 days without payment, deleted. Details are in the terms of service.
